Seamonkey Suite

I am considering installing and styling Seamonkey Internet Suite to look like the old Netscape Navigator and Mail client. Mostly for anesthetic reasons and a few other ideas.

Kinda wonder if I could get my hands on the original Netscape Suite and at least get the full set of programs compiled and running. Probably totally useless with the modern web but it be interest.

Fediverse

So I am working on articles about the Fediverse and Independent Web for later posting. They will be long form and a bit of a test of how such content can be posted. One will have a post like this with a link to the article. The other will be posted as Federated. We will see how it goes.

Bash Scripts

So, I am trying to learn bash scripting. I am working on a bash script to create new ddev projects as well as one to automate the Gentoo Linux install process. I will test that in a Qemu VM at some point.

Setup NVChad on my Neovim installs. I want to do more custom and personal configuration, but I think thats going to have to come later as I learn more. For now I just want to use the editor.

Also I am using the ActivityPub setup on this site for my discussions on Tech and my learning process. Feel free to reply back as I go.

Progress is being Made

So.

Right now I have managed to get the Drupal build to link to the Federated Networks and accept Replies. I am not entirely thrilled with how those replies are being formatted, but it could be the mapping or a few other issues in Reader.

Also, I don't know how to merge replies from different sources. I want to have Federated Replies. And while I got it to accept a reply from my primary Mastodon instance it didn't display that reply on the nod comments area. 

Tested basic replies and got the same result. So at least it shows I need to think on this a bit more.

It does make it clear that I can Federated different types of content not just here but on other Drupal sites. I just need to keep identifying and solving issues.

The cool thing is this is now being sent through the page and not from Social.mechanizedarmadillo.com.
